As reported in November 2022, there are still 25 Pokemon trapped in Pokemon Home after the release of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, and that is likely to remain in limbo until a future update. It's still up in the air when players will be able to transport their Pokemon Scarlet and Violet creatures to and from Pokemon Home, but fans are holding out hope that the original expected timeline of Spring 2023 is met.
Last September, Pokemon Home released its 2.0.2 Update, which was met with scrutiny and frustration when fans discovered that the new additions included minor things like bug fixes and the ability to delete an account. The announcement was received with mixed reviews, as some complained about the lack of transparency on when the ability to transfer Pokemon caught in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet would be transferable to Pokemon Home. Along with this, several bugs have been patched to optimize the experience for players, though none were named specifically. Additionally, battle data from Pokemon Sword and Shield can also be obtained by checking the View Past Battle Records feature.
Players who have linked a Nintendo Account with data from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to Pokemon Home can now view results from their ranked battles. Players can access the Pokemon within the application, checking on stats, move sets, and whether they are shiny or not, and even have the ability to trade with other Pokemon Home users. Released in February 2020, Pokemon Home serves as a database for players to deposit Pokemon caught in games like Pokemon GO, Pokemon Sword and Shield, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The new update doesn't do much for transferring Pokemon from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet over to the application, but it does include the newest generation in another capacity. Pokemon Home released its highly-anticipated 2.1.0 Update on Wednesday, adding some new features while fixing some bugs that players had run into.
